Applications Engineer

At Accsense, you will be involved in all aspects of test development, troubleshooting and manufacturing line maintenance for our products. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of RF products and how they operate, and the ability to debug boards at the component level.

    Duties:
  • Provide detailed technical support for Sales and Marketing.
  • Develop material for customers and sales consumption, such as tutorials, application notes and training material.
  • Understand what our customer's needs are. Research solutions to solve their specific application related requirements.
  • Responsible for matching existing products/sensors to meet customers’ specifications.
  • Providing the primary technical resource for pre and post sales support of key customers.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as required in support of the efforts listed above, including, but not limited to, travel, incoming and outgoing phone calls and generally support the sales and marketing efforts as directed.

    Qualifications:
  • BS in electrical, mechanical or equivalent knowledge & experience.
  • 2-3 years work experience in applications, design.
  • Familiarity with sensors, analog signal conditioning, measurement techniques.
  • Must possess good analytical and system skills.
  • Self motivated, self assured person with aptitude to interface with and present technical materials to diverse audiences.
  • Must possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently and as needed.



Associate Electrical Engineer - Test

At accsense, you will be providing technical support for the Sales & Marketing departments. You will be responsible for developing the materials to answer technical sales questions for both salespeople and customers. These materials may take the form of tutorials, application notes, FAQ knowledgebase, etc.
    Duties:
  • Identify and isolate product failures, using oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers or other appropriate test tools, specific to component failures, software, firmware functionality and or other failure in support of manufacturing operations.
  • Hands on ability to assemble and debug prototype analog and digital electronic and electro-mechanical circuits and custom test equipment and fixtures from engineering sketches.
  • Work with engineers to evaluate new techniques and designs
  • Troubleshoots products that failed in the field.
  • Performs board-level repairs including hand solder on SMT components.
  • Loads software on products.

    Qualifications:
  • Able to conduct formal and informal tests of components and assemblies.
  • Must be a self starter.
  • Must have excellent component level troubleshooting skills, debug and calibration, and SMT soldering / de-soldering skills.
  • Requires understanding of RF, DC and electronics theory
  • Must be comfortable working beneath a microscope
    Experience:
  • Education: An Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in this or similar job function
  • Performed and setup tests for electronic analog, digital and/or RF products.
  • Prototyped and assembled circuits at the engineering level and conducting initial testing and refining the components based on results
